Once Upon a Time - The Number 7
Dear Friend,
The way you smile, even though you're exhausted, it is pure magic. My Friend, this letter is just for you…Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin.
Once Upon a time, I used to believe that 7 was a good score...Now I know 7 is average. 7 is undecided. 7 is easy. 7 means nothing. Let me explain.
Have you ever been asked to rate something on a scale of 1-10? Most people struggle to rate a book, a meal or a film on a scale of 1-10. If it was really good or if it was really bad, you might have a clear score, but more often than not, we lean towards giving a rating of 7. 7 means the film was good, it wasn't amazing but better than ok.But what if I told you, you couldn't use a 7? You have to rate your experience without using a 7. This changes everything. 6 is barely halfway. 8 is a solid positive score. Now could you make a decision? Now could you rate it? Now you have to choose more definitively, now you have to make a decision. 6 or 8?Know what sets your soul on fire and say yes to those things.Get rid of number 7. Get rid of undecided. Get rid of average. You deserve better.Friend, keep showing up with magic in your smile. Fight for 8, 9 and 10.Love,Laura
