Once Upon a Time – Letter #2

Thursday Stories - Once Upon a TimeDear Friend,

You are strong. Even on days when you feel small and tired. You have an inner strength that is completely unbreakable. Just keep going.

My Friend, this letter is just for you…Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin.

Friend, Once Upon a time, I used to believe I couldn't change the ending of the story...

I'm now learning, the ending - it's completely up to us. We are writing the words and the chapters and even though it might be hard, the narrative of our lives can be changed. Painfully. Slowly. With huge amounts of courage. We can twist the plot, alter the character, turn the page or even just start a new chapter. Are you the person you want to be?The world tells us how to we should be living our story. Often, it writes an ending before we've even had a chance to say what we think or what we want. We can start down a path that was planned for us, a family business, pressured by expectation or told my society what we 'should be' by now. But I can tell you that it is never ever too late to be the person you want to be. It is never ever too late to change the end of your story.Start small. Be patient with yourself. Change takes time.Compounding actions have an impact. Daily habits. Small turns and repetitive forward motion - that's how we change the ending. Let's talk about that more next week. You must write the story you've always dream about.Love,Laura

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing part of my weekly letters so you can get a small taste of what’s included.  Every Thursday I'll write to you. We will talk about the positive and courageous things. We will talk about difficult things. We will share stories, book recommendations and quotes. But most importantly, I will start challenging you to write your own stories and I'll give you ideas of where to start...
